What an great place from the friendly staff, amazing food and outstanding all inclusive I would recommend for anyone. The resort has three properties that range from family to all adult, they have something for everyone. If you have the opportunity, enjoy dinner at Fuentes Culinary Show. A spin on Iron Chef, a 5 course dinner with each course being paired with a great wine and live music. From start to finish, it was EXCELLENTE'

WARNING!!! The stairs are not safe!!!Read my review I have the pictures to prove. I gave this property a 3 star rating based on our recent visit.Our first visit was 10 years ago and I would have given it a 5 star rating back then. But after this visit not so much.My husband and I decided to celebrate our 10 year anniversary here along with 4 of our close friends. We stayed at the Casitas 3017 which has gorgeous room, views and swim up pool. Expect to spend at least 2 hours checking in and setting up dinners with your concierge. Ours took about 3 hours collectively after several visits back and forth to the concierge. In my opinion unnecessary waste of our vacation.A list if issues we had: 1. It took 2 days to restockThe mini fridge 2. Requested a bottom room due to my aunts medical condition. Going up and down those stairs were not safe for her. This was expressed several times as a concern. 3.We booked what they call as a culinary experience (Fuentes restaurant) it's$10 per person.After signing the charge that would be on my card 2 days later the concierge came to us and told us it was going to be an additional $55 per person because of an event that was going on.This wouldn't have been a problem had this been told to me at the beginning. 4. Booked an excursion while on our side it went well but for another couple who was joining us not so much. They tried to book at the main lobby and then it became where the reps were throwing swings at each other in front of our friends 😒 5. At night there is an awful sewer smell that will wake you up from a dead sleep.After several other incidents that occurredwerequested to speak with the manager Jose. Due toan emergency on the property with other guests, we were unable to get ahold of him. When we were finally able to meet with him, he was fantastic. Attentive to our concerns. He did offer us a free night stay for a future visit to help change our mind. We were extremely grateful for that as we were not looking for anything but only wanting to help improve what we felt was negative experience for us.We left our conversation feeling confident our feedback would help. Here is where I'm very angry!Last night there my aunt is walking down the stairs she trips, she trys to catch herself by grabbing the railing and it broke in her hand! The wood on the railing was all rotten! A very nice security guard started checking the railing as he is slightly tugging on it the wood is falling apart and he says oh no!! This is not safe be careful!He taped off the railing and I did request to speak with a manager that night. No one contacted us. I even emailed pictures to the manager and no communication was made. At checkout I again requested to speak with a manager and no one was able to come and talk with us. After learning what the emergency was The day before which was an entire staircase collapsed while the couple was on it! How dangerous! This couple had to be rushed to the emergency room. Then the staircase from our rooms were completely rotted it's extremely concerning.In my opinion until these stairs are fixed or properly inspected throughout the property no one should be staying on the top floors. It is extremely dangerous!! Hopefully by leaving this review others will at least think twice and check the staircase before Walking up and maybe a manager will eventually contact us.

Drinks are very watered down. 0 to 1% alcohol. Rooms are not the cleanest. Very muggy rooms. Friends room had no hot water & her television did not work. Another friends bathtub had a leak & flooded his room. Food looked good, but was not very good at all. Shuttle service, Amstar- was not helpful. The grounds are beautiful. The staff are very nice. The spa was nice. I would not return, nor recommend this resort.

Excellente vacation resort with so much to offer; along with it's sister resort. Salt water pools, lagoon, tequilas, tastings, chef wine pairing menu. Concierge are available at numerous locations on theproperty. I highly recommend a consult with them dailyabout available activies or take a bike walking tour. Clean, sanitary secure and spacious so everyone can have alone time, if needed.

For some reason my full review wouldn’t post the first time …….Stay away from this resort at all costs!!! Phil Woodward, James Adkins, Myra Castro amd Dulce Lopez are unprofessional, liars and thieves.All of them work in the membership office at the resort.They promised us a resort in Baja CA if we bought a membership with for $8k, which we did.Less than a week later we found out a month prior to buying our membership El Cielo was no longer part of the membership. They knew this and lied to us anyway. But then promised us they would refund us our money in full.Fast forward two months later. This is still unresolved and now they want us to pay a $1200 cancellation fee.I send multiple emails with no response.The check in process was also a nightmare once we got to the resort in July.They put us in the wrong room.We paid for a swim up suite which was they overbooked by mistake and we hadto spent the first night of our vacation in another room which was less money and not what we booked. .We were informed we could move the next day at checkout time - 2pm to our originally booked room, which meant our first day of our vacation we had to wait around for the bellhop to move us.Mexico was also having a terrible problem with seaweed on the shore. The resort smelled disgusting anytime you walked past the beach not to mention that thebeach was unusable.The resort also provides a free covid test 2 days prior to returning to the states.Well, this process was unorganized and a compete mess.The staff in charge were messing up everyone’s passportsand getting confused what covid paperwork went with who’s passport. I don’t believe the results were accurately assigned to correct ppl since nothing was in order.Plus they were rude and yelling at us.The drinks are free however VERY watered down.The food was just ok.Nothing outstanding.Forget trying to go on any excursions from the resort.The roads are under construction and to go less than a mile will take over 4 hours in the car.That means you will have to leave super early to make the time for your excursion and spend 1/2 the day in the car going to and from and get back to the resort super late.I don’t not recommend this hotel by any means. Mexico is our yearly vacation resort and this will be a definite pass for us in the future. I recommend Secrets Playa Mujeres.They have swim up suites as well.

Amazing Resort, everyone was so pleasant and ready to help you to make sure you had a great time. The receptionist,bartenders, bell boys, waiterswere all so great!. And the place was just so beautiful, walking at night and hearing the ocean waves while stargazing was my favorite part of this trip.

I write this review as a current hotel guest.First off, after reading the negative reviews we were a little nervous about our upcoming trip and how the experience was going to be, after being here 2 days now all I can say is WOW 10/10. Please whatever you do, do NOT let those negative reviews deter you from this paradise resort. The people, the food, the grounds are spectacular. I’ve traveled around the world, and can honestly say this place is in the top 4 places I’ve stayed. If you’re looking for fun, relaxation and a true break from life! Look no further, we’re having a blast!!! Thank you Juan our bar tender, and Jamie and the other staff, thank you thank you! We will definitely be back… but first well enjoy our next 5 days.. ;)

From the moment my wife and I arrived at the resort, Casitas workers were friendly, helpful and caring. We had never done an all inclusive vacation before and we certainly understand now what the big deal is. The resort is gorgeous. They work hard every day to make it so. Accommodations are comfortable, especially the mattress on the bed. The views are peaceful. The food and drinks are delicious and unlimited. The best part though are the hard workers who do everything they can to make your experience exceptional and memorable. We especially want to thank our concierge friends, Emiliano and Emmanuel. They worked hard, above what they are expected to do to assist with some extra needs we had. We are very grateful for them and for the other Casitas staff. See you again sometime!

El Dorado Royale is gorgeous! Casitas is the way to go.. It feels private and the staff is attentive to all guests. We'd like to thank Raul in particular for giving us an excellent experience. He served us our drinks at the Fuisantes Bar and made sure we were always taken care of while hanging by the hammock/cabana area on the beach. He goes above and beyond for ALL of the guests. We normally don't write reviews but wanted to share our experience so you ask for Raul next time you stay at this resort.

Super lugar

I can't describe it beautifully enough! It was absolutely the most relaxing, clean, gorgeous, friendly place ever! My favorite part was how each section of Casitas shares a main pool with swim up bar. We had some great hilarious conversations with strangers who who became instant friends. We looked to meeting poolside everyday! The room has an indoor and outdoor enclosed shower and a huge jacuzzi in the room and a small private pool outside the patio doors when you don't want to mingle but still be in the water. The wait staff are always ready to bring you a drink!

This was our second trip to El Dorado Casitas and we loved it just as much as the first. Our pool bartender for casitas 26, Jovanny, made our trip though! We found ourselves hanging at the pool every day of our vacation and never had an empty glass. Jovanny was comfortable conversations with us and even helped us brush up on some of our Spanish! Overall, you really can’t ask for a better vacation experience if you’re looking for fun at an adults only all inclusive.

I loved the people! They went out of thier way to be friendly and helpful. Loved that. We were in the swim up casita. Our building had our own swim up bar and lazy river from the room to the bar. Nice! Here something you should know. The beach gets a great breeze and is so comfortable to sit out, it also makes the sea water unusable. Like, violent surf and red flag conditions. I asked my concierge if it was unusual, he said normally rough October thru May! The room service is good and fast. I was there during Covid, so, no buffet and menus were responsibly shortened. If I was a person that likes pools for swimming and beaches for walking. This is your place. If you want to snorkel or swim at the resort you are gambling. We never saw in the two week being allowed in the water.

Do not stay here! It looks nice but the service is terrible. I attended the wedding there and felt incredibly bad for the bride and groom. The stafv was so unhelpful. Most of the weekend did not go as planned. No apologies were made. I spent most of my day hungry the day of the wedding.Food and service is poor at bsst

This resort is very nice. I had a horrible experience checking in. With the young lady telling me about my room wasn’t available and tried to put me in a basic room. And Antonio came to semi fix the problem. The concierge and the other staff I give a 10. The entertainment and food was great.

Badly mismanaged property SANITARY CONDITIONS. We were put in a room that had an AC unit that was out of order, and mold EVERYWHERE. Literally everywhere: walls, curtains, closet, furniture, etc. The presence of such room on the property should have been a good reason for the local health department to shut the whole property down. But no – Karisma puts people in such filthy rooms. By the morning we developed serious allergic reactions and had to take pills. We were forced to spend 24 hours in the room and all our demands to move us to a more inhabitable place were ignored until we threatened to post pictures all over travel media. MANAGEMENT. The management generally doesn’t care much about the comfort of the guests or even delivering what the guests pay for. In our case, we had a “present” for our Anniversary: they gave away our casita, which we had paid for and even stayed at, to another family and kept us in an inferior hotel room. Sounds unbelievable, but that is what they did. Right on the day of our Anniversary. All staff and all management new it was the day of our Anniversary, and they still did it for “operational” reasons. FOOD. They proudly call themselves World-Class Gourmet Exclusive, don’t expect that much. The meals are OK, but no more than that. Certainly not something that can be called “gourmet”, not even close. They certainly don’t know about good food. If you want good food, explore fine restaurants in Cancun or Playa Del Carmen. Beers are good but don’t attempt drinking their house wines – they are not drinkable. They have a good wine list, but those wines are overpriced. BEACH. They proudly advertise the “artificial coral reef”. It is really ugly and it blocks your view of the beautiful ocean. These concrete structures look like an abandoned industrial site. What’s even worse they keep all the rocks within its borders and swimming in that areas and stepping on those rocks is very difficult and even painful. If you want a real Caribbean vacation and are not up for spending all your days at the pool bar, you’d better choose some other property. ACCOMMODATIONS. Because of the hurricane Zeta we have been moved between various rooms 4(!) times, which was a complete mismanagement by the property staff. Just imaging packing and unpacking all your stuff 3 times during a 5-day vacation. Not fun! However, it gave us a good look at various rooms. Casitas are OK, but don’t be fooled by the “4 diamond” rating. The rooms in Royale are closer to a typical 3-star American hotel. Furniture is old and outdated; the rooms are poorly configured. Even though the sq. footage is large, there is very little space. There is a corridor of light between the toilet window and the bedroom, which you cannot block in any way – all night the light from the outside will be interrupting your sleep. There is a coffee machine in the room but no coffee. The refrigerator is full of drinks, but it is mostly unhealthy sodas plus a few bears and water. RECEPTION. The reception staff never knows what is going on with the rooms/casitas; they have to wait for the stuff to first physically get to the rooms to give you an answer about your room readiness. Because of this it may take hours for you to get a simple answer. If you press hard with your questions, they will stop talking to you and just ignore you. Be prepared to have your calls into the reception not answered, and your emails to the management stay without response. SPA. Spa operates more like a massage parlor – they advertise steam room and sauna, but they never work. For some weird reason they do not give you a towel when you get in – you have to go and get it.

Os jardins são lindos. todos (funcionários e convidados) foram todos muito simpáticos e acolhedores. Fizemos karaokê uma noite e nos divertimos muito. Nós relaxamos durante o dia na praia nas camas de Bali e em muitas das piscinas ao redor da propriedade. Nossos concierges Andres e Adela foram fabulosos e cuidaram de nossas necessidades enquanto estavam lá. Comida era um sucesso ou um fracasso. Alguns restaurantes eram espetaculares, outros nem tanto. A propriedade é enorme e às vezes era difícil conseguir traslado, então esteja preparado para caminhar. Além disso, existe a opção de solicitar serviço de quarto, mas durante a nossa estadia demorou muito e algumas opções (como água mineral) não estavam disponíveis. Caso contrário, foi ótimo.

Amazing experience at El Dorado Casitas Royale My boyfriend and I visited in Sept 2020 and had a wonderful time. The grounds are beautiful. everyone (staff and guests) were all very nice and welcoming. We did karaoke one night and had a blast. We relaxed during the day at the beach on the Bali beds and at many of the pools around the property. Our concierges Andres and Adela were fabulous and took care of our needs while were there. Food was hit or miss. Some food venues were spectacular, others not so much. The property is huge and it was difficult getting shuttles sometimes, so be prepared to walk. Additionally, there is an option to order room service, but during our stay it took a long time and some options (like bottled water) were not available. Otherwise, it was great.

I am honestly writing this review a few weeks late because despite my bad experience I didn't want to tear down any persons business publicly. I reached out to them to rectify my issues privately. However they lack in customer support on the backend as well and gave a backhanded response to my issues. So please continue on to read how this resort did not meet expectations set by what this hotel presents, and other reviewers comments.We stayed in the BeachFront Casitas in room 2601 between August 20-24 2020I cant show how the food was cold when we got it, but I can show you how my service was terrible. Despite it being anyone in the restaurant our server hid in the drapes and got on his phone for 10 mins while we waited to be served. (See picture)-The food we received 7 times out of 10 was either room temperature or cold. It just had to be sent back. We had desert at -D’Italia the warm peach soup. Emphasis on Warm, but that was cold for a place to pride itself on a gourmet experience it didn’t live up to my personal expectatations. -We paid $35 for the Lobster which was a good size but it was tough and still came out cold. The butter that came with it tasted like movie theatre pop corn butter (disgusting) couldn’t even finish my lobster. I believe they used artificial butter. -Yogurt at Sante Fe had an ant crawling on it when it was served to me(see pic) -Bugs in room(normally I get that nature can seep through in these Tropical/Caribbean places but this was abundant) bugs in bathroom, I was ironing and 2 ants came crawling out where you put water for steam, we had to keep the room at a freezing temperature because it was the only way to keep flying bugs at bay. -Please bring a cover or case for toothbrush small hard to see bugs appear on counter when sitting water doesn’t dry -Room wasn’t the cleanest upon checking in we found a spider webs in two places in the inside bathroom shower and on headboard of bed -Mini bar was never restocked throughout my stay -Jacuzzi couldn’t hold water had to put towel in drain to keep water in -TV in room picture would change tints of being normal to hues of purple and green -Outside shower turned into outside bathtub as debris from the roof filled drain and water would not go down the drain -Also the outside bathroom doesn’t seal off so bugs can still enter the bathroom from these gaps which in turn allow them to come into the room since the bathroom and main room have the same ceiling -Most of the property beaches there is no way to swim unless you want to be battered by rocks. Thankfully they have the seaside pool and numerous pools, but if you are coming to swim in the beach look elsewhere.

Worst food and service. No running water in our room tv broken. All food tastes like it’s frozen then heated up. You order braised meat and get pot roast. Order eggs and get something that looks like mashed potatoes. slow service to the rooms. Starbucks is closed now.

Love the Casitas.. staff are awesome but some of the guest can either make your stay or cause concern.Our 4th stay.. cigar smokers ruined our ability to enjoy our swim up patio.. 3 couples controlled the main pool.. if you were not part of there group or aligned with them.. not so much fun.. they had to continuously play country music. That got very old!

The people here are wonderful. It's like being at Disney with how nice everyone was. The food was amazing and the rooms were very nice. The beach left a little to be desired, but not a huge deal. Pablo, the guitar player was a highlight of two of our dinners. We will be returning!

Had my wedding here. Some really great things happen here and some not so much. Upgrades I paid for: We got the steak and lobster for our guest for our wedding dinner. Everyone’s lobster was over cooked (everyone, We called all of our guests) my friends didn’t have the heart to tell me until we returned home. Bought the photo both, hardly any of the video messages are audible. Gave guy extra $100 to get uncut video and never got that. Also beware, if you use a travel agent to organized and book all your guest, they do not give you the resort credits that are on the website. My group spent well over $100,000 US and they wouldn’t even give my guest the spa credit or any other room credits I thought everyone was getting. I will say that the staff was excellent and the food over all was very good. The overall experience was very good just a couple things to watch out for.

Minha esposa e eu decidimos nos casar aqui e a organizadora de casamentos foi incrível, tudo foi perfeito, desde as férias até o casamento. A única coisa ruim para mim foi todos os restaurantes e atividades que estavam tão longe de nós. Foi cerca de 15-20 minutos a pé. Além disso, os barman quarto detentores e restaurantes onde tão incrível !!!!! Definitivamente voltaremos!

My wife and I decided to get married here and the wedding planner was amazing everything was perfect from the vacation to the wedding. The only thing that was a down for me was all the restaurants And activities where so far away from us. Was about a 15-20 min walk. Other than that the bartenders room keepers and restaurants where so amazing!!!!! Definitely will be back!

This is an unsolicited review but totally warranted.This resort is magnificent.We’ve traveled rather extensively throughout the Caribbean and this resort is now one of our favorites!It’s incredibly well maintained, the staff is great, and it’s unique in that the resort has a “livelier” section and also offers a more secluded, quiet area in the Casitas.We stayed in the Casitas area, section 27, and appreciated that each section (roughly 20 rooms, varies by section) essentially has its own swim up bar, concierge, and spa.It’s very low key so if that’s what you’re looking for, the Casitas is for you.Now to Clemente! He was the bartender for a few days and of all the people we’ve met traveling, he certainly left the greatest impression.He went above and beyond in the service provided to us and I literally can’t say enough about him.To the management team at El Dorado, please take note that he’s a tremendous asset to your organization.He truly is special and left a lasting impression for us.His commitment to excellence should be both recognized and celebrated.If you’re looking to swim in the ocean, this may not be the best option for you.There are a lot of rocks but I will say, there were a few people that ventured out to swim.All the food is good, some great, and I highly recommend making reservations upon arrival to ensure you’re able to eat at wherever restaurant piques your interest.We don’t typically visit the same resort twice but we’ll definitely be back!Kudos to the El Dorado team for making this trip truly memorable.

Las instalaciones son impecables muy lujoso todo, pero el servicio no es tan bueno dan preferencia a los estadounidenses, les habla uno en español y parece que te atienden a la fuerza, no todos pero si la mayoría, los shows y la mayoría de las cosas impresas (folletos, calendario de actividades etc.) En inglés. Un hotel con todo lo necesario y más, para descansar con confort y deleitarse con buena comida, es un resort lleno de actividades pensadas para pareja, por ello es tranquilo.

Un hotel precioso integrado en la naturaleza. Pero no todo el personal está a la altura de un 5 estrellas. El desayuno espectacular pero después la variedad de restaurantes y los horarios no están muy bien adaptados a los europeos. Muy americanizado. Aún así nivel de limpieza impecable, bien comunicado y un sitio para relajarse. La playa llena de algas una verdadera pena además de los rompe-olas horribles que destrozan todo el encanto del mar.

This property is by the Karisma brand, which provides sensual experience for there guest.This property is extremely well kept, and has a beautiful ambiance. The staff is extremely nice, providing a relaxing environment.I'm a seasoned traveler, and travel agent with experience around the world. This property is at the top of my list as recommendations in the Riviera Maya Mexico area. I can honestly say staying at this resort really feels like a vacation. Other resorts don't even come close to the Karisma El Dorado Royale Casitas experience.Usually you have a property that either has a good ambience, good customer service, or great food. This property has all of the above. The Karisma "Gourmet Inclusive Experience" features delicious dishes from around the world. Even the room service food was really good. Views from the property are breath taking.Staying at this resort will leave you refreshed. They have alittle bit of everything for guest. A bike ride through this beautiful property, or maybe a romantic stroll with a love one. Either way you can't go wrong with this property.

It’s everything you want out of a resort in Mexico plus more. This is great food, top shelf drinks and plenty to do in the resort. Many restaurants to choose from. What i like most is that this is not a mega resort so you feel like you aren’t just a number where they are looking to make many. There is no buffet! All a la carte. Room service is on point even at late night hours! You will not be disappointed.
